A roadway to heaven

January 26th, 2008

Looking up the road day 2, originally uploaded by David Thulin.

Well, maybe not to heaven, but absolutely positively to someplace good. To our new house. It is hard to imagine how this will be in 6 months, but I think know it will be great. The whole family is going out to Täljö today, in 2 hours, so expect much more in the photo department later!

Reflections

January 24th, 2008

Reflections in many ways … this photo was taken when speaking with a dear friend about our shared view on life, universe and everything. Hopefully Daniel and I will start working together again shortly.

Apart from that, today was the first big huge real progress with our new house. A 22-tonne machine is placed on the yard as of tonight, and will start digging like crazy tomorrow. Great news.

I have really fallen for Twitter, by the way. Hyperblogging is a way of communicating that fits my eclectic mobile life. By connecting my Macbook, my cellphone and my gmail chat, I can always convey “what I am doing right now”.

Pulitzer? Well, maybe not…

January 22nd, 2008

…but at least an honorable mention. For shooting quality like this with a cellular phone should be rewarded.

Long day today. Really long. But fantastically productive. Now, 6 hours of sleep, and a superb Tuesday.

My reflection in the 14th floor window

January 17th, 2008

This is work, a couple of hours per week. My good friend and business partner has his office on this glamorous downtown address - sometimes we see oddities in the house next door.

A good day today all things considering - good meeting with the municipal government where we are building the house - more than likely the first truck will arrive Monday. If that happens, we will move in to our dream home midsummer 2008. Absolutely fantastic.

Also, lots of good business. Grand business. With a client who has what I love more than anything: a really strong brand, and a product loved by the customers. I actually read a quote in a customer magazine - and Italian guy who had just received his product who said “this is better than the birth of my daughter”. Daring, but I can almost understand. I want one, or ten, as well.

A picture of a picture of a picture of my new toy

January 17th, 2008

Yeah, I am running out of ideas and things to take pictures of… soon, this will be much better. I have wrestled my E90 for the first time today… or, more correctly, I have wrestled the ShoZy software which uploads images to Flickr. But I am nowhere near giving up on her.

Today I really saw the Macbook Air. As I saw it, in the background there was an ad on TV for Match.com. Their payoff was something like “find true love online”.

I did. On www.apple.com.

I could not find anything more interesting to take a picture of today. Maybe the simply amazing Macbook Air. I want one, badly. I will probably order one within the week, along with a backup vault.
